OVERVIEW

The problem

The Argos Vision was a R&D and innovation project that proposed what the Argos website experience could look in 5 years time if Argos embraced all the new and emerging technology of the time. One of the ways up-sell and cross-sell can be avheived is to provide buying guides and lifestyle content that can help alleviate fears, uncertainties and doubts in the minds of the consumer.

The Solution

Add buying guide, comparison, cooking recipe and other 'shop-able' lifestyle content components within the greater Argos vision concept.

CREATIVE PROCESS

ARGOS INNOVATION HUB

My move to the Argos Innovation Hub in Victoria marked the start of my transition into UX and later product design. At this point the tools and methodologies of UX was very new to me. I spent a lot of time talking to the other designers and taking extensive notes from the Argos head of R&D (at that time) Lina Pio.

RADICAL UX + LIFESTYLE

Lina Pio spearheaded the Argos Vision with a new experience based around a natural language search, expanding product cards and an endless scroll, A radical departure at the time from the standard product list and detail views. My task was to take this concept and work in shop-able lifestyle content using the same behaviour logic of expanding cards.
